June comes around the corner

the days are numbered and restless, unsure of
where they are going and how they
will get there.
life has been just that - life and
in the meantime I have forgotten to write things down
I have forgotten to take pictures and memories with me and
because of this, these days are shallow.
he rarely touches me, and when we speak,
the words are between two people very much not in love but
trying very much to pretend.

I'm waiting for the warm.
I'm waiting on June to come around the corner with her
hair flowing and her
eyes hooked intently on me.
